Collins-Donnelly Consultancy provides high quality, individually tailored and highly interactive training courses for professionals, parents and carers, children and young people and adults on a wide range of issues. We provide courses for a wide range of groups and organisations including city councils, youth organisations, schools, charities, voluntary groups, the health sector and private sector companies.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR BOOKINGS BY ORGANISATIONS:
Cancellations of group course bookings: No cancellation fee is charged if a course is cancelled more than 21 days prior to the course date. If less than 21 days notice of a cancellation is given, the full course fee will be charged.
Cancellations of individual places on courses: No cancellation fee is charged if a course place is cancelled more than 14 days prior to the course date. If less than 14 days weeks notice of a cancellation is given, the full course fee will be charged.

The courses listed in this section are focused on practical applications for professionals. These courses can be booked in two ways:
A) GROUP TRAINING
As an organisation, you can book a training course for a group of your staff. A minimum of ten participants is required. The course can be delivered at your organisation or a venue can be arranged for you at an extra cost (all prices quoted exclude the cost of a venue).

PARENTING SKILLS CLASSES
This highly practical and interactive programme aims to provide you with a broad overview of basic parenting skills over ten weekly sessions. The course combines theory and research with real life examples, scenarios and role playing to allow you to put the theory into practice. The weekly session structure also allows you to practice what you learn in between sessions. Each weekly class lasts for two hours and addresses a different topic. There are also two extra optional sessions: one on managing sleeping problems in young children and one on managing eating problems in young children.
The course programme is as follows:
Week 1 Individual 30 minute assessment session
Week 2 Positive praise to manage behaviour and build your childs self-esteem
Week 3 Rules and boundary setting and discipline
Week 4 How your child learns from your actions and reactions as parents & how to maintain a unified parenting approach
Week 5 How to help your child manage their emotions and associated behaviours
Week 6 The importance of quality family time and communicating with your child
Week 7 Encouraging your child to become more self-reliant
Week 8 Dealing with difficulties between siblings
Week 9 Coping with stress and ensuring you get time for you
Week 10 Individual 30 minute follow-up session
Optional class 1 Managing sleeping problems in young children
Optional class 2 Managing eating problems in young children
Course duration 10 week programme, including two 30 minute one-to-one sessions and eight two-hour workshops.
Cost 10 week programme - £200 + VAT per participant in total. Each optional session - £20 + VAT per participant.
Course materials - Participants will receive a range of worksheets, information packs and a certificate of attendance.
